Woodland Campground

This committee was formed in 2020 and tasked with researching the repair of the existing, severely deteriorated, swimming pool. As this process unfolded, the amount of known damages increased, as did the extent of the unknown damages hiding behind and under the pool walls which led to large, open ended estimates.

With the cost of a new, more functional pool, that better accommodates young children as well as elderly and handicapped members, coming in at, or below, the costs of repairing the known issues to the old structure, a vote was motioned for and ballots were cast to move forward with a replacement swimming pool. During this time a long-term concept for the entire pool area began to emerge in the committee.

With the switch from repair to replacement, the function of the committee was modified to cover not only the pool, but to also work on a long-term goal of developing the land around the Pool and water tower area into a focal point for the campground. This general vision includes attractions, amenities and facilities to accommodate a wide variety of activities for everyone in our community.
